‘How to win friends and influence people’ never made it to my read list, the name alone was enough for me to cast it aside, "I don’t even have Facebook, why did I need to win friends?"

If you entered the working world in a technical role (essentially any role outside of sales), then this book to you is the the manual on ‘work’ no one passed you, it’s the undocumented RFC that’s so integral to everything we do.
If you choose not to read it, you’ll be in danger of working hard forever, you’ll be in danger of not building those relationships, you’ll be in danger of missing that chance to present, that chance to be in that important meeting, that chance influence.
